What this measures

Feeling tired isn’t always about sleep. This assessment looks at your whole energy system: how you generate energy, how much of it leaks into obligations, how well you recover, and whether your daily rhythm fits your natural pace. Most tiredness quizzes point at a single cause. This one shows you the pattern.

“Most tiredness quizzes point at a single cause. This one shows you the pattern.”

Systems scientist Donella Meadows found that seeing a system clearly, what she called an information flow, is one of the most effective places to change it, well above adding another habit or trying harder. That’s what this assessment gives you: not a fix, a clear look. It draws on the same idea behind treating personal energy as a system, not a time-management problem.

Who this is for

This is for people who are functioning, often successfully, but running on less than they’d like. If you’re tired without an obvious medical reason, if rest doesn’t seem to fully restore you, or if your energy feels unpredictable from one day to the next, this gives you a clearer picture than “I’m just tired” does.

Where this fits

This assessment is the starting point of Module 1 of Regenerative Life Architecture: Regeneration of Personal Energy.

Every regenerative system begins with energy. In nature, nothing grows or heals without a steady flow of it: sunlight, air, water, soil. Human life works the same way. Module 1 invites you to see your personal energy as a living system, not something to use up, but something to understand, look after, and regenerate.

You might recognise some of this:

  • You give your energy to everyone and everything, and wonder why there’s nothing left for you.
  • You’re functioning and delivering, but running on empty.
  • You manage your responsibilities well on the outside, while feeling depleted on the inside.
  • You’ve planned every minute of your calendar, but never actually restored your energy.

If several of these sound familiar, this is exactly what Module 1 is built for. It helps you understand where your energy comes from, how you spend it, what drains it, and how to regenerate it, before you try to change anything else in your life.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I feel tired all the time?

Persistent tiredness often isn’t about sleep alone. It can come from how you generate energy, how much of it leaks into demands and obligations, how well you actually recover, and whether your pace matches your natural rhythm. The Personal Energy Index looks at all four, not just rest.

What is the Personal Energy Index?

A free 16-question self-assessment that measures the sustainability of your personal energy system across four areas: generation, protection, recovery, and rhythm. It takes three to four minutes and gives you a score out of 100.

Is this a medical test?

No. The Personal Energy Index is a self-assessment, not a medical or diagnostic tool, and it doesn’t diagnose fatigue, burnout, or any health condition. If ongoing tiredness concerns you, speak with a doctor. This tool is built to help you understand the pattern behind your energy, not to replace medical advice.

How is this different from a general tiredness quiz?

Most tiredness quizzes point you toward a single possible cause, usually sleep or diet. The Personal Energy Index looks at your whole system, including how you generate, protect, recover, and pace your energy, so you see the pattern rather than one symptom.

How long does it take, and is it free?

About three to four minutes, 16 questions on a 1–10 scale. The assessment and your topline score are free, with no account needed. Sharing your email unlocks your full four-part breakdown.
